The Future Law Innovation Programme (FLIP) is looking for interns!


Are you a law, tech or business student, and interested in Legal Tech, Innovation or the Future of Law?


Here is your chance to help shape the future business of law, and contribute to the creation of a legal innovation ecosystem spearheaded by the Singapore Academy of Law. We have two projects available:


1. Legal Industry 100 problem-statements catalogue (10 positions available):


You will conduct research into the problems, issues and concerns the legal industry is facing on a daily basis, you will report on repetitive workflows that can be automated or outsourced, and document the research subjects’ optimal practice and work environment. The research will produce in a catalogue of 100 problem statements that can be solved through technology and/or innovation. Duration is 3 months, starting September 25th.


2. Lite Business Process Reengineering (BPR) consulting (10 positions available):


In collaboration with Conjunct Consulting, FLIP will create a Lite BPR package that can be a guide to small law firms looking to adopt technology to increase productivity. The intern, always working in teams of 2, will participate in the research required to produce the consulting toolkit, following which the intern teams will be trained by Conjunct Consulting for up to a maximum of two (2) days on how to use the developed lite BPR package, and provide this service to the FLIP participants that require it. Start date is September 25th, for a duration of 3 to 6 months, with the option of extending for another 6 months.


Conjunct Consulting is Southeast Asia’s first social change consultancy: engaging, mobilising and empowering pro bono talent to strengthen social good organisations in Singapore. They do this through pro bono consulting projects, strategic collaborations, and corporate skills-based volunteering programmes. A qualified applicant will have excellent writing and speaking skills, will be capable of interacting with diverse groups of community members, will be capable of working independently, and will be capable of interacting with professionals in the field.


This internship is an excellent introduction into the world of Legal Tech and business model innovation, and will provide the successful applicants access to a network of high profile law firms and their corporate clients.



Internship details


A small stipend will be provided. The internships will provide excellent training for anyone considering a future in law, Legal Tech or business model innovation. We request a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week, with up to 10 hours a week available. Scheduling is flexible.
